Whateatver (the "App") is a personal food list management tool. We value your privacy and this policy explains how we handle your data.
All restaurants, lists, tiers, dining records, and notes you create are stored locally on your device by default (SQLite database). Unless you actively use the "Share List" or "Feedback" features (see Sections 7 and 8), your data never leaves your device.
Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all local data. We recommend regularly using the "Export Backup" feature to save your data.

You can disable analytics at any time by turning off the "Usage Analytics" toggle in Settings.

The App may request your location permission for the following features:
Location data is only accessed while the App is in the foreground and is not tracked in the background. Location data is not uploaded to any server and is used only locally on your device. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
When adding a restaurant, if you use the search feature, your location query is sent to the Google Places API to retrieve addresses and coordinates. No other personal data is transmitted.
The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may use advertising identifiers to provide personalized ad content.
On iOS 14.5 and above, the App will ask for your permission to track when you first launch it (App Tracking Transparency).
You can change this setting at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Android devices use the Google Advertising ID (GAID) for personalized ads. You can opt out by going to Settings → Google → Ads and selecting "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
Feedback you voluntarily submit (including optional nickname, feedback text, device info, and optional screenshots) is sent to our server via a secure connection. Feedback data is used solely to improve the App and is not shared with third parties.
When sharing lists via QR code, list data (restaurant names, tiers, tags, addresses, etc.) is uploaded to our server to generate a share link. Sharing is entirely initiated by you, and data is used solely for sharing purposes — it is not shared with third parties or used for any other purpose. Shared data is stored permanently on our server to keep the link active.
The App offers a Whateatver Pro subscription. All payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store your credit card or any payment information.
The App uses RevenueCat as a third-party subscription management service to verify subscription status and handle cross-platform purchase records. RevenueCat may collect the following data:
Data collected by RevenueCat is not shared with advertising systems and is used solely to verify your subscription entitlement. For more details, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
The App is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
This policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you within the App of significant changes.
